Tour plans

According to your travel plan, you'll be picked up from New Jalpaiguri or Bagdogra and transferred to Pelling by car. The journey covers approximately 135 km and typically takes around 5 hours. Although Pakyong Airport in East Sikkim is an alternative, it is less reliable due to frequent closures, making Bagdogra Airport the preferred choice.

The drive from Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Junction is scenic, passing through the Sivok Hill forest and Sivok Kali Temple, picturesque tea gardens, and viewpoints overlooking the Teesta River. You'll also cross the Tista Bazar area, where several good restaurants are available for breakfast. From there, it will take about three more hours to reach Pelling.

Upon arriving at Pelling, you may feel tired from the journey, so you can unwind at our luxurious property, the Pelling Mountain View Retreat. Alternatively, take a leisurely walk around the property. The nearby helipad offers a chance to see helicopters landing in the afternoon and capture some great photos with the mountains in the background.

Begin your day with a breathtaking view of Kanchenjunga, weather permitting. The rooms and surrounding areas of the property offer a majestic perspective of this mighty mountain. After a hearty breakfast, prepare for a busy day exploring local attractions.

Start by visiting the Pemayangtse Monastery and the Sanghak Choeling Monastery. Next, head to Khecheopalri Lake, a natural waterbody revered by both Buddhists and Hindus for its religious significance. On your way to the lake, stop by Rimbi Falls, a steady stream of cascading waterfalls set against a lush green forest backdrop.

After a day of exploration, return to our Pelling property for a relaxing overnight stay.

Start your day with an early breakfast as you'll be heading to Ravangla, located just 48 km from Pelling, a journey of about 2 hours. If you leave early, consider a stop at the Rabdentse ruins en route. This historical site was once the second capital of Sikkim from 1670 to 1814 and is a must-visit for those interested in Sikkim's heritage.

Additionally, visit the Kirateshwar Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, which offers a stunning view and adds to your travel experience. Upon arrival in Ravangla, check into the Ravangla Village Farm House and take some time to relax and explore the surroundings.

In the afternoon, embark on a trek along the Tendong trail, known for its rich birdlife. It's advisable to seek the assistance of local guides to ensure a safe and enjoyable trek. After a day of exploration, enjoy an overnight stay at Ravangla.

Start your morning with an early visit to the Rayong Sunrise View Point for a breathtaking sunrise experience. Afterward, enjoy a hearty breakfast before embarking on a local sightseeing tour. Explore key attractions in Ravangla, including the Buddha Park and the Char Dham.

The Buddha Park, situated nearby, features a majestic statue of Buddha and offers serene surroundings. The Char Dham complex, located in the Namchi region, is notable for its replica temples of four major Hindu pilgrimage sites: Badrinath (Uttarakhand), Puri (Odisha), Rameshwaram (Tamil Nadu), and Dwarka (Gujarat). The site also houses twelve Jyotirlingas and is known as Siddhesvara Dham.

If time permits, consider a trek to Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary, though please note that this will incur an additional cost. After a day of exploration, return to Ravangla for your overnight stay.

Enjoy a peaceful breakfast surrounded by nature after watching the sunrise this morning. Following breakfast, you'll be transferred to NJP/Bagdogra according to your travel schedule. On your way back, make sure to visit the Temi Tea Garden, the only tea garden in Sikkim, for a glimpse of its lush tea plantations.
