Day 1 - Arrival At Bagdogra Airport (ixb) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (njp) And Transfer To Pelling
Our representative will be there to receive the Guest at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) – He will be assisting for the transfer to Pelling – Transfer to Pelling (140 kilometers 5 ½ - 6 hours) – Check in to the hotel – Pelling is at an altitude of 6800 feet / 2072 meters – On a clear day guest can get a clear view of Himalayan range with snowcapped mount Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Khangchendzonga, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing, Sinolchu etc - Proximate locations to Pelling are Yuksom, Rinchenpong, Dzongri and HeeBurmiok - Evening one is free to stroll around this small settlement - It is one of the exotic settlement with varieties of Rhododendron, Orchids and wildlife - Check into hotel – Evening free to roam around the helipad or shopping - Over Night stay at Pelling
Day 2 - Pelling Local Sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full day of sightseeing around Pelling and its beautiful surroundings. The drive through forested routes showcases the region’s rich botanical and zoological diversity. Your first stops will be the Rimbi Waterfalls and Rimbi Rock Garden, followed by a visit to Khecheopalri Lake, a revered Buddhist site believed to grant wishes. Legend has it that leaves falling on the lake's surface are immediately picked up by birds, keeping the water perpetually clear. Continue to explore the Khecheopalri Monastery, Kanchenjunga Waterfalls, and Pemayangtse Monastery. Don't miss the Rabdentse Ruins, where the panoramic view of the Khangchendzonga range from the top is truly breathtaking. Return to the hotel in the evening, and enjoy some free time to explore the helipad area or the local shopping center. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 3 - Sightseeing To Yuksom
Start your day with an early morning breakfast before heading to Yuksom. This historic town is renowned for its religious significance, as it was the site where the Chogyal established the first monastery in Sikkim, known as the Dubdi Monastery, in 1701. The Dubdi Monastery, perched atop a hill and accessible via a one-hour walk from Yuksom, is considered the oldest monastery in Sikkim and was initially called the Hermit's Cell after its founder, Lhatsun Namkha Jigme. Yuksom is also home to the smaller Mallu Monastery.
In addition to the monasteries, you can explore Darap Home Stay and learn about local culture. Yuksom serves as the starting point for the Dzongri Trek and is the gateway to Khangchendzonga National Park. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel in Pelling. Enjoy your evening at leisure, perhaps strolling around the helipad or visiting the local shopping center. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 4 - Transfer To Namchi & Visit Char Dhaam
After an early morning breakfast, you'll embark on a transfer to Namchi. Situated at an average elevation of 1,315 meters, Namchi is approximately 75 kilometers away and the drive will take around 2.5 to 3 hours. As the district headquarters of South Sikkim, Namchi translates to "Sky High" in Sikkimese, making it a perfect destination for those seeking enchantment, tranquility, and adventure.
Namchi is renowned for its monasteries, festivals, and natural beauty, and is home to Sikkim's only tea estate, which sits at an elevation of 1,675 meters (5,500 feet). Upon arrival, you'll have the evening free to explore the main market center or visit the Chaar Dham, a significant pilgrimage site. Overnight stay in Namchi.
Day 5 - Excursion To Ravangla & Samdruptse Hill
After an early morning breakfast, you'll begin your day with a visit to the world's largest statue of Buddhist Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, located on Samdruptse Hill. This impressive 118-foot statue is a significant spiritual site for Sikkim and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area. Opposite Namchi, you can also visit the Wish Fulfilling Well.
Next, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Chemchey, home to the Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure & Ecotourism, situated at an altitude of 6,582 feet. This hilltop location provides stunning views and insights into adventure and ecotourism.
A visit to Ravangla, known for its natural beauty, is also on the agenda. Following this, you’ll head to Temi Tea Estate, the only tea estate in Sikkim, renowned for its scenic beauty and serene environment.
After enjoying these sights, you'll return to the hotel for lunch or have lunch on the way. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore. In the evening, you can stroll around M G Road or the local market. Overnight stay at Namchi.
Day 6 - Departure To Bagdogra Airport (ixb) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (njp) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (junction) / Siliguri - Drive To Siliguri
After a morning breakfast, you'll embark on a drive to Bagdogra Airport (IXB), New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), or Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction). The journey covers approximately 105 kilometers and takes about 3 to 3.5 hours. The route is scenic, with lush hills and beautiful landscapes along the way.
Consider stopping at Melli or Chitrey for a cup of tea, and enjoy the picturesque drive along the River Rangit and then the River Teesta. If time permits, a quick stop at Coronation Bridge for some photography is recommended.
It's advisable to start early to avoid any rush and ensure a smooth transfer. Upon reaching your departure point, you’ll proceed with your onward journey.
