Day 1 - Guwahati Airport/railway Station To Shillong
Upon your arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be greeted by our representative who will drive you to Shillong, approximately 120 kilometers away, which takes about 4 hours. En route, you'll have the opportunity to visit Umiam Lake, where you can enjoy water sports (a nominal fee applies). In the evening, check in at your hotel or guesthouse in Shillong for an overnight stay. The rest of the evening is free for you to relax and explore at your leisure.
Day 2 - Shillong- Sohra (cherrapunjee)
After an early breakfast, head out for Cherrapunjee. Enjoy a scenic drive that will take you through stunning waterfalls and gorges. Known as the wettest place on Earth, Cherrapunjee is famous for its spectacular waterfalls, limestone caves, living root bridges, and a variety of water and adventure activities.
Highlights include the breathtaking Seven Sisters Falls, the Mawsmai Cave, and Thangkharang Park. On the way, you'll also visit Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls. In the evening, check in at your resort in Cherrapunjee for an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Cherrapunjee- Mawlynnong
After breakfast, embark on a 2-hour drive to Mawlynnong, renowned as Asia's cleanest village. Located 90 kilometers from Shillong, Mawlynnong offers not only its charming, pristine environment but also a variety of attractions, including the living root bridge, scenic waterfalls, lush orchards, and unique boulder formations.
In the evening, return to Shillong and check in at your hotel or resort. The rest of the evening is free for you to relax and enjoy at your leisure.
Day 4 - Shillong Sightseeing
Embark on a city tour of Shillong, where you'll explore a range of beautiful attractions. Start with Ward’s Lake, a popular spot for leisurely garden walks and boating. Next, visit Lady Hydari Park, a beautifully landscaped Japanese-style park featuring expansive rose gardens and a variety of exquisite flowers. Adjacent to the park is the Mini Zoo, home to several species of birds and mammals.
Continue to the Shillong Golf Course, one of the largest in Asia, nestled amid dense pine groves and rhododendron trees. Often referred to as the 'Gleneagles of the East,' it sits on a plateau surrounded by the Khasi hills. Finally, visit the State Museum and Don Bosco Museum to learn about the lifestyle and heritage of the people of Meghalaya and the Northeast region.
Return to your hotel or resort in Shillong for an overnight stay.
Day 5 - Shillong- Guwahati Airport/railway Station
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. The drive will take approximately 4 hours.
