Day 1 - Arrival In Guwahati | Transfer To Shillong
Upon arriving at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be greeted by our representative. You will then be transferred to Shillong, with a stop at Umiam Lake, the largest man-made lake in Northeast India. Once in Shillong, check in to your hotel. Spend your evening at leisure or explore the famous Police Bazaar for shopping. Enjoy an overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2 - Shillong To Cherrapunji | Sightseeing In Cherrapunji
After breakfast, set out for Cherrapunji, the wettest place on Earth. Along the way, stop at Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak, the highest point in Meghalaya. Visit the Mawkdok Dympep Valley, where you can enjoy zip-lining, and take a stroll along the scenic river beach.
Upon arriving in Cherrapunji, explore its renowned attractions, including Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth highest waterfall in the world), Seven Sisters Falls, Kynrem Falls, Wei Sawdong Falls, Arwah Cave, and Mawsmai Cave.
In the evening, check in to your accommodation in Cherrapunji for an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Double Decker Trek
After a delicious breakfast, embark on a day trip to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge. Start your journey by reaching Tyrna Village, the base for your trek. Hike through lush green fields and rugged cliffs, with sunlight filtering through the dense trees. As you pass through small villages and verdant landscapes, you'll arrive at Nongriat Village to see the renowned Double Decker Living Root Bridge.
This remarkable natural bridge, over a hundred feet long, is incredibly sturdy and crafted from living roots. Enjoy a trek across the bridge and take a refreshing dip in the natural pool nearby. After your adventurous day, hike back to Tyrna, and then return to your hotel in Cherrapunji for a well-deserved rest.
Day 4 - Cherrapunji – Mawlynnong – Shnongpdeng
After breakfast, head to Mawlynnong, formerly recognized as Asia's cleanest village. Explore the village and visit the century-old Living Root Bridge in Riwai Village, which involves a brief 10-minute trek.
Next, drive towards the India-Bangladesh border to reach Dawki Village. This area is renowned for the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River, also known as Dawki River. Marvel at the river's transparent bed, where the clarity of the water creates a mesmerizing view.
Day 5 - Shnongpdeng To Mawphlang
After breakfast, head to Mawphlang Village to explore the renowned Sacred Groves and the Khasi Sacred Forest, which are a haven for nature enthusiasts. Also visit the Khasi Heritage Village to learn about the traditional lifestyle of the Khasi Tribe.
On your way back to Shillong, stop by the famous Elephant Falls to enjoy the serene surroundings. Once you arrive in Shillong, visit Ward’s Lake and the Shillong Golf Course.
Return to your hotel in Shillong for an overnight stay.
Day 6 - Trip To Laitlum Grand Canyons And Krangsuri Falls
In the morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel for a tour of Laitlum Grand Canyons. Enjoy a trek through these impressive canyons, taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Next, drive to Krangsuri Waterfalls, located in Jaintia Hills, approximately 92.8 kilometers from Laitlum. Upon arrival, take a 10-15 minute trek to reach the waterfalls. Marvel at the beauty of the falls and experience the powerful rush of water as you stand behind the cascading curtain.
Afterward, you'll be transferred back to Shillong. Check in at your hotel and enjoy a restful night’s sleep.
Day 7 - End Of The Trip
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your return journey. Depart with cherished memories of your fascinating exploration of Shillong.
