Day 1 - Arrival At Trivendrum Airport And Transfer To Kovalam
Upon arriving at Trivandrum Airport, proceed to Kovalam, a world-renowned beach destination known as the "Paradise of the South." Kovalam features three stunning crescent-shaped beaches. Check in at your hotel upon arrival and unwind in the comfort of your room. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll along the beach to witness the mesmerizing meeting of the sea and sky. Kovalam's golden sands by day and silver sands by night, coupled with its dramatic rock formations and serene blue waters, create a picturesque scene, especially under the moonlight. Day 2 - Kovalam To Alleppey - (160 Kms - Approx 4.5 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Alleppey, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and often called the “Venice of the East.” Famous for its backwater cruising and vibrant boat races, Alleppey offers a unique and picturesque experience.
Upon arrival, board your houseboat through the narrow canals that weave through lush paddy fields, tranquil coconut lagoons, and traditional coir villages. Spend the night on the houseboat, enjoying the serene backwaters and the scenic views. Overnight stay in Alleppey.
Day 3 - Alleppey To Thekkady - (135 Kms - Approx 4 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Thekkady, renowned for its rich spice plantations and wildlife. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady, encompassing 777 sq km of pristine forest and a 26-sq-km artificial lake, is a highlight of the region.
Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and freshen up. Later, head out for a sightseeing tour of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (entry fee applicable). The sanctuary is home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, sambar deer, tigers, gaurs, lion-tailed macaques, and Nilgiri langurs. The mountain scenery and jungle walks offer a captivating experience.
In the evening, you can enjoy a boat cruise on the Periyar Lake (additional cost) for a chance to spot more wildlife and take in the beautiful surroundings. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4 - Thekkady To Munnar ( 85 Kms – Approx 3hrs)
After breakfast, head out for a day of sightseeing in Munnar, known for its stunning landscapes and tea plantations.
Mattupetty Dam:- Begin with a visit to Mattupetty Dam, a concrete gravity dam nestled in the hills. The dam offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills, tea plantations, and rolling grasslands. The area is also ideal for trekking and bird-watching, with the Shola forests providing a beautiful backdrop.
Kundala Dam:- Next, visit Kundala Dam, renowned for its scenic beauty and the Neela Kurunji flowers that bloom once every twelve years. Enjoy the picturesque views of the lake and the lush greenery surrounding it.
Both sites offer unique experiences and breathtaking vistas. Return to your hotel for the night, reflecting on the natural beauty of Munnar.
Day 5 - Munnar Sightseeing
After breakfast, embark on a day of adventure around Munnar, immersing yourself in its stunning natural beauty and expansive vistas.
Echo Point – Begin your sightseeing at Echo Point, famous for its natural echo effect. Encircled by verdant greenery, this location offers an excellent setting for nature lovers and photographers. Relish the peaceful ambiance and the distinctive echoes that bounce through the picturesque surroundings.
Pothamedu View Point – Continue your journey to Pothamedu View Point, where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of vast coffee, tea, and cardamom plantations. This viewpoint provides a wide-angle view of the lush hills and plantations, making it a fantastic spot for leisurely nature walks and hiking.
Return to your hotel in the evening to relax and reflect on the day’s adventures amid Munnar’s captivating scenery.
Day 6 - Departure From Munnar To Cochin Airport – (130 Kms – Approx 4 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Cochin Airport, enjoying some final sightseeing en route.
Cheeyappara Waterfalls:- Visit the stunning Cheeyappara Waterfalls, which cascade down in seven distinct tiers. The sight of water flowing gracefully over the rocks amidst lush greenery makes for a beautiful photo opportunity and a refreshing experience.
Valara Waterfalls:- Continue to the Valara Waterfalls, a chain of waterfalls nestled within thick, verdant forests. The serene and natural setting of these falls provides a tranquil backdrop to your journey.
En Route to Cochin:- As you drive towards Cochin, take in the breathtaking scenery of Munnar's tea plantations, pristine valleys, and mountain peaks. The landscape is often shrouded in mist, creating a mystical and tranquil atmosphere.
Neelakurinji Flower:- While the Neelakurinji, which blooms once every twelve years, may not be in bloom during your visit, its mention highlights the unique flora of the region. The next bloom will be in 2018, painting the hills in a rare blue hue.
